Save the Dates for a friend’s nerd-themed wedding. The couple wanted to incorporate Dr. Who elements into their save the date as the rest of the wedding will predominately lean on Harry Potter and Firefly fandoms. I’m maybe seen a total of 20 minutes of Dr. Who, so to design the save the dates and propose a direction for the full suite, I spent hours researching typefaces and objects that played a key role in the show. To bring in texture to the Tardis, I introduced a subtle lattice pattern created by repeating JanelovesJohnlovesJane (names changed to protect their privacy) in the Gallifreyan typeface.
